Governance & Enterprise Architecture. TOGAF.Adopting just one of the technologies discussed to date would require rigor when implementing. Taken together all of these are going to require a considerable investment in time and resources to plan for their individual and combined adoption, rollout, maintenance, modification and enhancement.
Ontologies, MDM, SOA, EDA, ESB, CEP, Standards. All these shall have touch point not only with each other but also cascade to many, if not all, of the systems and processes of the enterprise business. Not least in support of the commitments, conditions and constraints imposed by the ever increasing regulatory (Sarbanes-Oxley, etal) framework on the enterprise and its systems.
As already touched on elsewhere in this document the Enterprise Architecture Board shall have a pivotal role to play with this endeavour.
